Two days down and two days to go in the big Get-Out-The-Vote push. It’s been a fun two days so far in the volunteer centers, telephoning voters, getting people in and out to go knocking on doors, tallying data, sampling all the home-baked goodies that folks bring in, hearing the latest reports and rumors, and just taking in the whole throbbing scene of a campaign team playing out the final moves with all the verve that has carried it through these last months. Make no mistake, it is exciting and entertaining, so come on in and join us!
Volunteers are working out of two convenient locations:
Coordinated Campaign Headquarters, 1152 Montauk Highway, Water Mill (just east of the Hess gas station), and
Hampton Bays center, 16 Lynn Avenue, corner of Lynn and Higbee Road (just south of Argonne Road East).
Both locations will be open and operating all day and into the evening on Monday, November 7 and Tuesday, Election Day, November 8. We’ll be telephoning and door-knocking. We’re looking for three-hour shifts, but will appreciate any time commitment you can make.
