Bridget Fleming
Professionalism • Experience • Commitment
Bridget Fleming has the skill and experience to get Southampton’s finances back on track, and to provide leadership that considers the needs of all members of our community. She served for almost a decade as an Assistant District Attorney in New York County, working under the legendary Robert Morgenthau. As an A.D.A., she fought for the safety of the community, prosecuting a wide variety of crimes. Later, as Chief of the D.A.'s Welfare Fraud Unit, Bridget coordinated large investigations to punish and prevent the misuse of taxpayer money. Since moving to Noyac almost a decade ago, she has served on the Noyac CAC and appeared before the Town Board as a representative of Noyac’s interests.

Bridget was raised in a religious family with a deep respect for community service. Her father devoted his life to the labor movement, and to fighting for justice for the poor. Following in his footsteps, Bridget has spent her entire academic and professional career in public service. Upon her graduation from one of the nation's premier law schools, she received an award recognizing her as the student who had given the most to the community. She served for nearly ten years as an aggressive, hardworking assistant D.A. And after 9/11, Bridget was instrumental in conceiving and running a massive effort to train and support thousands of volunteer lawyers to help families of the victims with their legal needs.
Bridget moved to Noyac eight years ago with her husband Bob, a carpenter and small contractor, to start a family. Following the birth of their son, Jai, Bridget suspended her law practice to devote herself to being a full-time mom. Now, as Jai enters the first grade at Sag Harbor Elementary School, she looks forward to giving back to the community that she calls home.
Bridget is proud that her life experience has put her in the position to help lead Southampton Town at a time when fresh, professional leadership is badly needed. She pledges to continue to learn and grow throughout her campaign so that, when she takes her seat on the Town Board, she does so with an understanding of the needs of all of Southampton’s citizens.
